DOT PHYSICALS 

If you or someone you know are a CDL driver that is required to complete a DOT physical, we can help! Dr. Corey Touney is a federally certified DOT examiner and often has next day appointments available for drivers. These exams are done by appointment only and typically last 30-45 minutes. All drivers must provide a valid driver's license.

DOT Physicals

Federally Certified, Convenient Location, Next Day Appointments

The Department of Transportation requires some CLP/CDL drivers to get regular physical exams to make sure they can perform their duties and keep our roads safe. If you are in need of a DOT physical exam, give our office a call. Dr. Corey Touney is a federally certified DOT examiner and we often have same day or next day appointments available. We can also work with companies with multiple drivers to set up a system of scheduling and billing. All drivers must bring in a valid driver’s license at the time of exam.

Dr. Touney will perform the physical exam according to the federal regulations:

• Review Health History
• Basic Physical Exam
• Vision Check & Color Vision Check
• Height and Weight Measurements
• Check Blood Pressure
• Urine Analysis

 

Please note, if you suffer from any sort of medical condition (diabetes, attention deficit disorder, depression, high blood pressure, etc.), give our office a call prior to your appointment to find out if you will need to provide additional medical records or a letter from your primary care provider. Without the additional medical records, we may not be able to complete your physical.

Physical are done by appointment only and typically take 30 – 45 minutes to complete. Dr. Touney does have morning and evening hours available Monday – Friday. We often have same day appointments available, but we suggest calling at least one day before to ensure an appointment for your desired day.

DOT Physicals

Yes, we do them!

Last year, the federal government implemented many guideline changes to the trucking industry. One of the changes affected drivers directly in that they are now required to have a DOT medical exam performed and reported by a certified physician. Dr. Corey Touney is one of the few physicians in Sioux Falls (outside the major hospitals) that is certified to performs such exams. He can perform the exam right in our office, typically with additional testing required (unless absolutely necessary, as dictated by the federal guidelines.)

The fee for our DOT exams is $70; a rate which is very competitive compared to the local market. We usually have same day appointments available, though we recommend calling a day in advance, and we are available from 9 am - 6 pm most days of the week. We are conveniently located in central Sioux Falls, right off Minnesota Avenue. We can also set up direct billing with a companies business office to help streamline multiple DOT physicals.
